Chris While and Julie Matthews

In 1997 Chris While and Julie Matthews left the Albion Band to form the duo While and Matthews. Since then the duo have recorded many albums together as well as pursuing individual solo projects and being part of related endeavours such as the Christmas band St Agnes Fountain (with Chris Leslie and David Hughes), the Julie Matthews Band, the Chris While Band, Blue Tapestry, Daphne’s Flight (with Christine Collister, Helen Watson and Melanie Harrold) and singing workshops with Helen Watson. In 2009 While and Matthews won the best duo award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, in which category they have been nominated nine times. Chris and Julie continue to tour extensively and their tenth cd together was released in February 2013.

Kellie While

Kellie While is a British singer-songwriter considered to have one of the outstanding voices of her generation. She has been a member of some of the most influential and innovative British folk groups of her era including E2K and the Albion Band. A much sought after contributor to the work of major artists she has appeared on many recordings and more recently has toured as part of the Albion Christmas band. She regularly appears in concert with her mother Chris While.
